My name is Fereshteh Fatemi and I welcome you to my website.
To tell you a little about myself:
For as far back as I remember, I liked drawing and watercolor painting, and I always wanted to create beautiful things. I was born in Iran and lived there through my first year of college, then moved to the United States. Here, I received a BA in Fine Arts, then studied Interior Architecture, and worked in the hospitality industry for over twenty years. However, throughout my career as an interior designer, my passion for creating art and hand-made objects would inspire me to take side-steps and express my creativity in a variety of art forms such as: 3-dimensional wall graphics, a line of hand-made greeting cards and photo albums, hand-sewn evening bags, and finally jewelry, which I have been designing and creating for the past decade.
In 2011, I found out about a program called Spiritual Psychology, which was offered at USM in Santa Monica, and I felt called to enter the program. Two years later I graduated from the Master’s program, and today I feel that it was one of the best decisions of my life! I am now enjoying both designing and making silver jewelry -- at times combined with semi-precious stones -- and also working and teaching with the tools that I learned in those two years, combining art and Spiritual Psychology, together with the poetry of Rumi.
I find all aspects of creativity very meditative, at the same time uplifting. I can lose complete track of time whether I’m working in the jewelry studio with metal and torches, or drawing and painting Mandalas or images for greeting cards in the quiet of my home.
I invite you to enjoy viewing my gallery; some of the pieces shown are still availble for sale. If you are inclined to purchase, or if you have any questions regarding any of my work, please contact me through this website's contact link or at: firstname.lastname@example.org
